Montravel achieves the same cool grey micro-crystalline aesthetic as Belgian Petit Granit (also known as 'Small Granite' or 'Belgian Blue') at significantly lower cost. Both are dense limestones (not true granites) with similar technical specs. Montravel ships to the US at 0% duty under MAFTA; Belgian stone carries a standard import tariff.
Yes. Montravel's density of 2,500 kg/m³ and absorption rate below 0.3% make it highly frost-resistant. It is certified for USDA Zones 4–9. We recommend a 3–4cm thickness for outdoor paving and a 3cm honed or sandblasted finish for slip resistance.
